Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired?
In this soft economy many Americans are turning to Network Marketing. Did you know that more than 56 million people are running MLM businesses in over 100 countries around the world (13.3 million people in the US alone)? Multi level marketing businesses earned over $100 billion in sales.
Why not you? Why not now? What do you have to lose?
So what's next? Great, you are probably thinking to yourself if this MLM industry is so great how do I go about finding a good company, the right company? Well my answer to this question, and it is a good question at that! The first thing you need to do is research. Don't start by researching companies how ever, research the industry, and what it takes for a company to go from small to big and what supplies a safe home for distributors. These are essential factors! You also have to understand timing and trends, ( I recommend reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki) and in all actuality I recommend reading it before you embark on the search for your company! But when it comes to trends and timing you want to position yourself in front of trends because it will push into success. An example would be the real estate boom that burst a couple years ago. When the real estate market was at the height it was relatively easy to sell your home, you could put a for sale sign out in the morning and by the end of day or week you x amount of offers on it and you could dictate the price you wanted to sell for. But shortly after the bust it became a lot harder to sell your house and even harder to sell your home for the price that you want to! This creates repeat business and repeat business is the key to any Network Marketing Business!
OK, let us do a quick review, read "Rich Dad Poor Dad", watch this short clip on trends and why you want to be in front of them, do research on the MLM industry and see what a company has to have to be successful and a safe place to be a distributor. This industry is an amazing blessing the US economy and the economies around the world, that being said not all companies are equal and unfortunately there are some shady companies out there. So it is IMPERATIVE that you do your do diligence!
So at this point you might have a couple questions popping up in your head. "When am I going to have time for all of this research?" and "Do I quit my job to start my own MLM business?" These are both time related questions, and I will answer them together. DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB! This is a business that you do along side of your 9-5 job. And for things to change in your life, you have to change! This might be the most important piece of the puzzle if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, there is one more question you have to ask yourself. Are you willing to do something about it? If your answer is yes then in my opinion there is no better way for the average person to make a difference and have a positive impact over hundreds and thousands of lives and in the process make a lot of money! If you help enough people get what they want then you will always get what you want! The beautiful thing about the MLM industry is it doesn't take a lot of hours a week to become successful in this industry what it does take is consistency and persistence with your time and of coarse efficiency! If you only have a limited amount of time that you can put into your MLM business every week because of work and family then you better make sure that you are efficient with those hours!
Like I have stated above there are a lot of good companies in this industry but there are only a hand full of great companies! I believe in that handful of great companies there is only one company that is above and beyond. That company is MonaVie! I know, I know you are like "of coarse you think the company you are a distributor for is the best" and your're right! Anyone one that is a distributor for a company should think that company is the best. Are you a Prisoner to Money?
What they're not teaching us in school is making us a prisoner to money!
Is our our school system in our country the reason for our economic depression? Ok, it might not be our school system, but maybe it's our schools philosophy. Our school system in the U.S. is still teaching people to be employees in an economy when our job market is decreasing everyday. We need to start teaching our children to be entrepreneurs not employees, creating jobs, not looking for jobs! So you could say that our schools are feeding the fire... the unemployment fire that is! So if our schools aren't teaching us how to have a financial education then where do you suppose we learn it? That's a question millions of people are starting to ask! And unfortunately I don't think there's an easy answer out there.
One of the main problems at hand is to many people have bought into the lie! "Get an education and a safe secure job." While this used to be true, now it's just an old out dated way of thinking, one that leaves you a prisoner to money. Along with the fact that America has become lazy and complacent! Stuck in a world of Xbox, Playstations, Wii's and Plasma TV's and if that isn't enough throw in sunday football, American Idol, and Fox News. We are bogged down with media desensitization and complacency. So while we stand by focused on our favorite TV show, other parts of the world (China and India just to name a few) are working around the clock taking our market share.
This is exactly why the Rich keep getting Richer! They have the financial education and experience to profit when economic times are good and bad. So where does that leave the poor and the middle class? Well for the most part it leaves them scratching their heads asking what happened and the middle class are left with with an every shrinking segment of our population. Now I know there are many articles on this subject but my main focus that I want to relay is taking your future into your own hands and not leaving it up to someone else!

While this used to be true, now it's just an old out dated way of thinking, one that leaves you a prisoner to money. Along with the fact that America has become lazy and complacent! So how can I get a better Financial Education?
Take the first step and invest in yourself!
Ok, if you have found yourself to be a prisoner to money, stuck in your job with high consumer debt, car payments and mortgages, don't worry there is away out! IT's not going to be a quick answer or easy answer, but it will provide a light at the end of the tunnel and with that a better life!
Remember if you want change in your life then YOU have to change! I like to call this the road of personal development. This is probably the most important factor on your road to improving your financial IQ and eventually to your financial freedom! Read books (lots of books), get a teacher, coach or mentor, go to live seminars, seek out local successful people and ask them to sit down with you (you'd be surprised how willing they will be), associate yourself with like minded forward thinking individuals, look for and join a network marketingcompany! Network Marketing companies fit all of the above into one package and you get to earn while you learn! Now not all Network Marketing companies are the same, so do your do diligence and find one you can get behind. Not just the product but the corporate management and the distributor base. Make sure they have a good training system in place and make sure that have your best intrust in heart! And don't be in a hurry this is going to be a process that takes time! So enjoy the journey and good luck!

The Ups and Downs of Life or Should I say the Twists and Turns of life?
Ok, so here goes nothing. I'm sitting here in my chair with a blown out knee, two weeks ago I was playing softball for the Japanese restaurant that I work at called Tomo. The game was close we had a two run lead going into the second to last inning, they had two runners on base and I was in left center field. A ball got hit through short stop, and I was running in hard to field the ball. When I got to the ball I could see the man on second was now round third, simultaneously I hear "HOME, HOME"! So with one smooth motion I scoop up the ball and make the transition to throw home! One, two and plant and throw, and oh no something terrible! My front leg that I had just firmly planted, buckles underneath me as I yell out in excruciating pain! I hit the ground and grab my knee as I roll over. All kinds of thoughts rush into my head mixed and diluted with shooting pain! As I lay on the ground rolling back and forth with my hands on my knees taking in this all to familiar pain! What did I just do to myself? It takes a few moments before the rest of the team realizes I'm even down much less in serious pain. Slowly as the come over they realize that I'm not getting up from this fall under my own power.

Realizing that the game was now tied and there where only a 10-15 minutes left I asked for help and was lifted off the ground by my team mates and taken to the dug out... I was given Ice by someone in the crowd and I watched the rest of the game from the bench in Pain, thinking about all my responsibilities outside of a casual game of softball. How would I get home? Could I pick up my girlfriend from work? I had to work the next 5 days, could I work? All these thoughts race through my head as I watched the other team take the lead... Next we had on last at bat, Josh got a base hit, and next up was Matt, I yelled out to him " Pick me UP" and sure enough he blasts one over the head of the right fielder for a in the park home run!!With that shot we tied it up! And that's how it ended!
So now I sit here writing my first blog as I re-live my blown knee... What's next?

Hi My name is Rex Garland, I'm 32 and live in Northern California. I live with my girlfriend Sarah, I am a part time Sushi Chef and a full time network marketer...
